| Hein Poulus, QC Position: Chairman Mr. Poulus is a businessman and a partner in the Vancouver office of the Stikeman Elliott law firm. His background includes: membership in McAlpine, Poulus and Hordo, a Vancouver law firm (1973 to 1979); senior management positions with Kaiser Resources (1979 to 1980), a publicly traded producer of metallurgical and thermal coal and oil and gas; and with private Kaiser companies (1980 to 1984) whose activities included coal trading, oil and gas, real estate, and professional football. He then served as a senior officer of Southeastern Capital Corporation, a Denver-based leveraged buyout group (1984 to 1990) with interests in broadcasting, petroleum product distribution, and environmental laboratories. Mr. Poulus was born in Djakarta, Indonesia and schooled there and in the Netherlands. He holds undergraduate and law degrees from the University of British Columbia and an LL.M. from the London School of Economics. | |
| Ron Shorr, CFA Position: Director Mr. Shorr has been involved with researching, development, restructuring, and financing corporations for over 30 years, including operations, acquisitions and fund raising. He has acted as an advisor and consultant in several large merger transactions/dispositions and assisted in raising hundreds of millions of dollars in public offerings. Mr. Shorr has worked as the senior metals analyst for Bear Stearns, the Natwest Bank, E.F.Hutton, and Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. He has been rated many times among the top analysts covering the mining industry by Institutional Investor on its All-America team. His financial advice has often been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Barron's, FORTUNE magazine, and Business Week. Mr. Shorr's experience includes positions of Chief Operating and Chief Financial Officer for a mining company. Mr. Shorr is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and graduated from the University of Michigan (B.A.) and Harvard Business School (M.B.A.), subsequently attending graduate school at the Krumb School of Mines at Columbia University. He is a member of the AIME, the New York Society of Security Analysts, and authored a chapter for Economics of the Mineral Industry. | |
| Dr. Michael Hitch Position: Director Dr. Hitch has over 25 years of experience in the minerals sector and has been a senior executive with major mining companies around the world including AngloGold Ashanti Limited and Echo Bay Mines Ltd. Dr. Hitch has many years of experience building and financing junior resource companies. In his role as consultant to TSX-listed Golden China Resources Corp., Dr. Hitch focused on gold exploration and development, and merchant banking in the evolving precious metals industry of the People's Republic of China. Previously, he held positions as mining analyst for Clarus Securities Inc. and Octagon Capital Corporation, and served as VP corporate development for Ivanhoe Mines Ltd., Anglogold Ashanti, Echo Bay Mines Ltd., and Teck Resources. Dr. Hitch holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Geology and a Ph.D. in Environmental and Resource Studies. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Norman B. Keevil Institute of Mining Engineering at the University Of British Columbia with a research focus on mine optimization, project economics and mine design. Dr. Hitch is also a registered Professional Geoscientist (Alberta and British Columbia) and a Professional Engineer (British Columbia) allowing him to act as a Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101. | |
| Alexander (Lex) Poulus Position: Director Lex has a successful 27 year career with TD Bank Financial Group. During his time with TD, he held various senior leadership positions within the Commercial and Retail banks, as well as Finance and Operations, during turbulent economic times. He brings to Resinco his broad experience and discipline in Finance, strategic planning, tactical execution and people management. Lex holds a BA (Econ) from the University of British Columbia and various banking related accreditations. He is a past Director of the Vancouver Board of Trade and past-President of Rotary. | |
| John Icke Position: Chief Executive Officer, Director John Icke is a senior executive with more than 25 years global management experience, 14 in the role of President, General Manager or Chief Executive Officer, in both the private and public sector. He was previously the president of Accenture Business Services for Utilities, the largest business process outsourcing practice of its kind worldwide. Most recently, he had been a principal of JRI Strategy Consultants Inc., a business consultancy which provides strategic counseling and leadership to senior executives of retailers, technology and consumer goods manufacturing businesses. His previous positions include: president and CEO of Lily Cups Inc; founding director and chairman of Canadian Polystyrene Recycling Association (C.P.R.A.); corporate vice president and general manager of Indigo N.V.'s worldwide packaging business; and chief operating officer and executive vice president of Sweetheart Cup, a subsidiary of Fort Howard. Importantly, Mr. Icke has significant experience with private equity in addition to debt and public equity financings. | |
